I don\u2019t think any of us has the right to tell someone else how to describe their PTSD. Sometimes you don\u2019t have the spoons to talk about larger injustices while you\u2019re dealing with your own mental problems.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I am sorry, but publishing a personal account on a mass media website goes further than dealing with PTSD, especially when you describe the atrocities in detail. If this was a private diary that somewhat got leaked, I would agree, but when you publish something in a site like GOOD, devoted to NGOs and related work, it goes further than personal issues. The platform itself turns it into a political one. Incidentally, <a href=\"http:\/\/jezebel.com\/5817381\/female-journalists--researchers-respond-to-haiti-ptsd-article\">the most criticism she got online was from Haitian people who were deeply offended by the way she described the country.<\/a> I didn&rsquo;t even touch on those details because I do not know Haiti or how well she analyzed the realities there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>downlo replied to your post: Today in stuff that upsets me I disagree.
