Privilege is when white male teenager in the US makes a name for himself by being the most embarrassing jackass in recent memory and is rewarded with sizable power over the tone of discourse for everyone who uses this platform. There are people all over tumblr with professional, educational, activist, or life training appropriate for the task of editing international political content on a burgeoning social media platform that hosts dozens of mainstream media outlets, but tumblr thinks this kid is a better choice.<\/p>\n

And that is why I do not participate in the tumblr tagging system on this blog. If the system works to signal boost the [redacted]s and the [aforementioned]s, I want no part of it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
