First, because the people here believe the Greek media have  sided totally with what they call &ldquo;Big Capital&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/commentisfree\/2011\/jun\/15\/greece-europe-outraged-protests\">Costas Douzinas for Comment is free @ guardian.co.uk:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When St\u00e9phane Hessel wrote in <a title=\"Wikipedia: Time for Outrage!\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Time_for_Outrage%21\">Time for Outrage!<\/a> that indignation with injustice should turn to &ldquo;a peaceful insurrection&rdquo; perhaps he did not expect that the movement of <a title=\"Guardian: How corruption, cuts and despair drove Spain's protesters on to the streets\" href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2011\/may\/21\/spain-reveals-pain-cuts-unemployment\"><em>indignados<\/em><\/a> in Spain and <em>aganaktismenoi<\/em> (outraged) in Greece would take his advice to heart so soon and so spectacularly.<\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"Guardian: The Greek spirit of resistance turns its guns on the IMF\" href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2010\/may\/09\/greece-debt-crisis-euro-imf\">Greek resistance<\/a> to the catastrophic economic measures was expected. Throughout modern  history the Greeks have resisted foreign occupation and domestic  dictatorship with determination and sacrifice. The measures imposed by  the IMF, EU and European Central Bank with the full accord, if not  invitation, of the Greek government, have led to 11 one-day general  strikes, numerous regional strikes and imaginative acts of resistance. [&hellip;]<\/p>\n<p>Three weeks ago, things changed.
