Today, on the way to the supermarket I decided to check my local thrift store to see if they had anything I could use. And behold! I found the kind of porcelain I was looking for:<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"tmblr-full\" data-orig-height=\"667\" data-orig-width=\"500\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theresearchpapers.org\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/2d2381b0106d06eb899072ea07b2ce2059164392.jpg\" data-orig-height=\"667\" data-orig-width=\"500\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>(The stands between layers are silver plated candle holders that cost 1 Euro each!). It looks kinda bonky because I only placed the layers on top of each other to see how the set would match, nothing is yet glued or attached.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I really loved the plate that I picked for the center of the stand:<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"tmblr-full\" data-orig-height=\"667\" data-orig-width=\"500\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theresearchpapers.org\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/8a623005aec7a4fca19090983140194d8e5da337.jpg\" data-orig-height=\"667\" data-orig-width=\"500\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Turns out I managed to find a set of four matching cups for this plate as well:<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"tmblr-full\" data-orig-height=\"375\" data-orig-width=\"500\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theresearchpapers.org\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/f5ccbd73237b1a197269e2ff6ca2f064f9ed50eb.jpg\" data-orig-height=\"375\" data-orig-width=\"500\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>And, imagine my shock when I got home and found the set was from a proper English porcelain brand:<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"tmblr-full\" data-orig-height=\"375\" data-orig-width=\"500\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/theresearchpapers.org\/archive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/7aefd23b7118cf28c23c78eabe618b71c3ef94b8.jpg\" data-orig-height=\"375\" data-orig-width=\"500\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Total cost for the stand + 4 matching cups? 10 Euros!
