He would probably ignore the fact that he would have to be, you know, actually nailed to a cross after much pain to reach such status. His twitter would probably read \u201cImma not gonna let you finish this one, JC\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thousands of Tumblrs would change their avatar to say \u201cToday we are all Jesus\u201d and hundreds of thousands of posts would read \u201cReblog if you support the 12 Apostles\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Millions of Facebook status would read \u201cI stand with Jesus\u201d and \u201cFree Jesus\u201d, alternatively, calls to \u201cchange your Facebook photo to show your support for the Passion\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Malcom Gladwell would release his new book, just in time for the Resurrection, called \u201cA Cross would never catch up as a proper religious symbol because it is not photogenic enough at social media sites\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On Monday, The Atlantic would publish a 6000+ words\u00a0 piece criticizing Gladwell\u2019s book and asking \u201cDid Twitter help raise him from the dead\u201d (the answer would be \u201cInconclusive\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Jezebel would write a post about \u201cFamous whores in new religions: Mary Magdalene\u201d, by Sadie Stein and it would feature pastel outfits suitable for desert landscapes and commentary about what Mary Magdalene wore while washing Jesus\u2019 feet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Nick Denton would get hold of yet unpublished excerpts of the John\u2019s Gospels and he would publish them on Gawker, including salacious details under the header \u201cWhat did they really eat during the Last Supper?\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Gwyneth Paltrow would release a recipe for bread and wine on Goop, calling it the \u201cHolly detox diet\u201d, her trainer Tracy Anderson would include tips on \u201cHow to keep those arms toned without showing muscle while bearing the Cross\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>4chan would start a new meme, \u201cForever Nailed\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And by Tuesday we would all be so fed up that there would be no Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>Until, fifteen years later when hipsters find records of this week and decide to worship it ironically.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the spirit of Good Friday, also known as the the day of the Crucifixion (or the start up moment of Christianity), what would happen if the events took place today?
