I took the post down already because of course it was self centered and whiny.<\/p>\n

I sincerely appreciate your message. Today, more so than you can imagine.<\/p>\n

I want to believe I take criticism well. Perhaps what I do not take well are “put downs”, when I feel someone is trying to “put me in my place”, so to speak. That enrages me because it’s the kind of nonsense that I try to eliminate on a day to day basis, hoping we no longer have to put up with “being told”.<\/p>\n

And of course, while discussing the “put down”, someone I care very much for said “there is only a minor problem with some stuff you write” and of course this person said it in a positive way, but oh do I amplify it! WHAT PROBLEM? WHAT IS IT? IT SUCKS DOESN’T IT?! Queue in the “spiral of self hatred and insecurity”.<\/p>\n

But yes, all I want is to offer perspective. Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes I don’t. But it is the only goal I have in mind.<\/p>\n
