Ok well then, I’ll confess something deeply personal and the source of much early teenage angst.<\/p>\n

As a child, I developed facial hair very early. And my mother didn’t want me waxing at age 11 or so. So, I was dutifully named “Lobizon” at school. The Lobizon is a Latin American legend (found in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and I believe Chile) very similar to the Werewolf. A man who turns into a Wolfman during full moon. I was taunted with the nickname “Lobizon”. I cried so much that by the time I was 12, my mother finally accepted my waxing.<\/p>\n

Queue in 20 years later and me living in Europe. Also, me discussing with other women my facial hair woes. And these women BRINGING UP FUCKING FRIDA KAHLO TO MY FACE AS THE BEAUTY MODEL I SHOULD FUCKING FOLLOW BECAUSE OH WELL, I AM LATINA AND AREN’T WE PROUD OF OUR FACIAL HAIR?!!!<\/p>\n
