But I also have this counterpoint: why should we care?<\/p>\n<p>And yes, I am being purposefully trite here, so it&rsquo;s not that I do not share your point of view. It&rsquo;s just that I am increasingly frustrated by these claims that &ldquo;I should care about bigger issues&rdquo;, like planetary well being, which of course I do&hellip; as you are well aware from reading my rants regularly. But I also have to genuinely ask: when is it OUR turn?<\/p>\n<p>I see Argentinian\/ South American food sold in my supermarket all the time. Peruvian mangoes in December! You know what my first thought is about those mangoes? I wanna buy them because I personally known Peruvian families earning a living out of selling mangoes grown in their farm. It&rsquo;s a gut reaction. It&rsquo;s not the <em>right\/proper<\/em> reaction. And I have to wonder: how many do you think go through a similar thought process?
