So I\u2019ve gone through all the parties and my alternatives (PvdA – \u201cLabor\u201d and D66 – \u201cmid-left\u201d) both have a couple of things I can\u2019t in good conscience vote for.\u00a0<\/p>\n

D66 wants to end affirmative action within the government and PvdA thinks privacy may be limited as a result of fighting terrorism.\u00a0<\/p>\n

BUT I CANNOT VOTE GROENLINKS BECAUSE KILL THEM WITH FIRE.<\/p>\n

Not voting? Is that even an option?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ooooh this might be fun! I am meeting Pechtold next week because my partner is organizing his visit to a local “Black School” (for readers not familiar with Dutch society, this is the name that schools in immigrant neighborhoods receive). So, I’ll see if I can sneak a question and, publicly ask for his opinion on this proposal. In front of the school authorities, which also happens to be one of the top schools in the entire district, which is a huge achievement, considering it is populated almost in its entirety by children from some of the least advantaged areas of Amsterdam, who are almost all immigrants.
