Oh my gods. I hadn\u2019t thought you were this close to the mess. I feel so badly for those children. Do they do criminal background checks for teachers in the Netherlands?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I believe they do, yes. But this guy was, so far, “clean” (as in, he hadn’t committed any crime). Moreover, since he is an immigrant (the guy is from Latvia), I know there is an extra layer of security check. Because you cannot obtain a residency card unless your background check is clean (I know I had to, and it is the letter of the law).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
