This is the portrait of a xenophobic, hyper conservative guy the Boston Globe interviews for the piece. Funny thing is, they interviewed many other commenters (a super liberal guy, a female sports fan, a guy who writes detective novels) and all of them come across as well adjusted, normal people who just happen to participate in online communities.
