However, I believe it is important that we are reminded of the consequences of said policies. I give talks regularly and participate in panel discussions or debates and it always surprises me how easy it is to discuss these issues in abstract terms (i.e. &ldquo;policies have deadly results&rdquo; for instance) but as soon as the abstraction is removed and there are names and bodies attached to the results of those policies, the discussion(s) take a turn to the uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>So, this is a small effort to actually remove the abstraction and point to our collective responsibility in those deaths.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aww thanks!
