Yeah, you know, I like some problematic stuff. Moreover, I actually watch problematic stuff or listen to music with lyrics that are not entirely acceptable, etc. Yet, if someone says “But Flavia, you know this shit is problematic?”, it wouldn’t occur to me to respond with “BUT I LIKE IT!”. I have these discussions with friends regularly as well, we all indulge in stuff we know has sexist or maybe racist or classist, etc, stereotypes. We cannot remove ourselves from the socio cultural context where we live.
