Contrary to the previous commenter, several European states (eg. Italy and Germany) are ‘younger’ than the USA, and Europe has been an area of immigration, cultural change, and shifting political boundaries for centuries. Racism in Europe has a lot more to do with colonialism and economics than any sense of innate cultural identity.
