Who organizes the kick off for the Amsterdam Municipality’s “Amsterdam Against Racism” campaign with a demo that takes place on a working day at 2:00 PM? I can go because I can more or less organize my schedule around a couple of hours of non productive stuff. But the vast majority of people? Those who work in offices, shops, have kids in school, etc? No, sorry… it’s a working hours event.
Sheesh, the entire demo will probably consist of five civil servants from the Municipality, a couple of lost tourists and maybe a retired hippie who took a break from smoking pot for a few precious moments.
