Perhaps you should practice what you preach
This piece linked above? Which quotes me as a “must read” and is getting so much attention? You know, the piece from a White Feminist telling other White Feminists not to be racists and to work in solidarity with WoC?
Perhaps the first lesson from your own anti racist book should be this: if you write a piece calling out racism in the feminist movement and inform your fellow White feminists that they need to actively work against racism you should moderate your comment queue so that PoC are not left to YET AGAIN do the heavy lifting of explaining that “no, reverse racism is not a thing” and “no, a Black person making a derogatory comment about their White neighbor does not qualify as racism”.
Because totally, that’s what is happening. Which also made me head desk quite intensely especially seeing my name up there as a sort of lesson. What? I write so that you can quote me and not learn a thing from it? Ironic, considering that the piece she quotes is one where I vocally expressed my anger at the lack of moderation in a Facebook thread where WoC were left to do exactly the same thing that is happening now.
For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception.
