Indeed. It is all based on one single book published in the 1800s. And that they want to hold on to this “tradition” for dear life is all the more baffling. It’s not something dating from the beginnings of humanity or anything. Just one book that depicted the Petes like a “North African slave” and to this day, this is considered “untouchable”.
