that event sounds interesting. I’d love to know more about what’s going on right now. growing up, my filipino dad was for some reason the head of the Michigan Council of La Raza… weird.

A friend of mine is one of three main speaker of the event. His talk is going to be centered on the question if UN Millennium development goals help or hinder the region (by setting an agenda that might not be in line with development interests of the locals).

If anything interesting comes out, I’ll be sure to write about it afterwards.
