I took this (horrible) photo from Dutch TV last night (Amsterdam channel AT5). It shows the unemployment figures broken down by ethnicity in The Netherlands:

  • Under 25 year old classified as ethnically Moroccan: 28% of unemployment
  • Under 25 year old classified as ethnically Surinamese: 27% of unemployment

(Contrast to the average national of 6.9% for under 25 year old unemployment rates; which is, according to the source linked, the lowest in the EU).

Overall unemployment rates for non White (allochtoon) people in The Netherlands:

  • For those with a lower education path (i.e. high school & vocational training): 16%
  • For those with higher education paths (i.e. university and/ or tertiary education): 9%

Contrast with the overall national average of 4.2%

Now, I’d like to hear more Dutch arguments about how this business of “institutionalized” or “state sponsored” racism does not exist in this country.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception.
