Maybe it’s hipster journalism but I love that the NY Times “found” the happiest man in America and it’s an Asian Jew from Hawaii. 🙂

HA! No, I don’t think it’s hipster journalism, in any case.

What I call hipster journalism are these supposedly serious news orgs (cough *newsweek* cough) attempting to be funny, cool or ironic, in a style more suitable for The Daily What than for news outlets. There is a place for irony and sarcasm, and making fun of current events but those organizations don’t do it in a particularly professional manner. Yesterday’s attempt by Newsweek ended up being sexist and just in general poor taste. They should leave attempts at comedy to The Onion or Colbert, you know.
