As you can see, 2010 saw a major leap in both my writing and your interest in Running Chicken.
And, of course, thanks to everyone who reads the blog via RSS, who follows links from Facebook and Twitter, or who somehow ends up here via Google search. I’m happy and honored that you’ve chosen to spend a few minutes here daily, weekly, monthly, or just once this year.
Thanks also to all of you for reading, liking, reblogging, commenting, recommending, and asking questions.
Since a lot of you seem to be reading — or at least the possibility exists that you might be reading — this is a good time for you to tell me a little bit about yourselves: Who are you? Where are you from? What do you do? Why are you following the Running Chicken blog?

(Disclaimer: not feasible, or possible or even doable, as we do completely different things and have totally different styles, and he is an academic and I am not; and I am pop culture inclined and he is not; and he is a published author in the field of Human Rights; etc; etc. But, I can admire from afar and nod in agreement with almost every post he writes and even when I do not agree 100%, the disagreements give way to one of the most fruitful dialogues I had on Tumblr this year. So there’s that).
For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception.
