Part of a multimedia exhibition at Mama Cash

Mama Cash’s online exhibit ‘Out from Under’ showcases issues, voices, stories, and perspectives from the global sex workers’ human rights movement.

Sex workers are severely stigmatized as workers and human beings. Since the early 1970s, determined and courageous sex workers have been collectively organizing in spite of the sometimes extreme consequences they face for speaking out.

In 1985, Mama Cash began giving travel grants to sex worker activists attending their first world conventions and conferences. Today, Mama Cash is more strongly committed than ever to supporting sex workers’ rights organizations in their efforts to change laws, hearts, and minds.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
