Veiled Muslim women, even though you are a visible and participating presence in our community, even though when I go to my local supermarket you are shopping every single time, regardless of your age, even though anyone who has spent more than two hours in Amsterdam has come across one of you, even though our local politicians like Geert Wilders have built their entire political careers on the supposed evils of your oppression, it seems you do no laundry and your purchasing power is not desired by Robijn. As per this new advertising campaign in the Metro Amsterdam newspaper, you have no representation. You simply do not exist.
