It is making me think about how I can best contribute. I don’t hit ALL the feminist blogger demographics listed in Peterson’s piece, but man, who needs another scrawny white girl flapping her yap? EXISTENTIAL CRISIS, HO!

I don’t hit many of those and I do qualify as a minority voice (YES! I WIN AT OPPRESSION OLYMPICS!), but the one that did affect me the most was the age related one. I am older than what was mentioned there. Not by a long shot (just a couple of years), but it was enough to make me realize that I shouldn’t even bother because honestly, I have so much against me that the ageism might as well be the tipping factor against me.

It made me seriously question if it is even worth the try. I am still unpublished, I am not a household name in the conference circuit, etc… I might as well just hang my feminist boxing gloves and devote myself to other pursuits, you know.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception.
