Ha www.videobox.com $10/month Awesome, bc I used to subscribe to terrible sites that were $30/month. It even has a comments section (which are usually pretty terrible) and rating section (which again, I dont think the ratings are reflective of the type of vids I watch) and a section where u can make your own clips and favorite videos and such. I wouldnt dare leave a paper trail, so I don’t use the functions, hahah

And here is the answer 🙂 (See? I also provide a community service amidst the snark and pop commentary)

paper-is-patient replied to your post: I have to say, I’m a woman… Er, Anon, may I ask what this “Netflix of porn” is called? Because …

I have to say, I’m a woman and I like porn a lot. I subscribe to a service that’s like the Netflix of porn, so u can get so many genres. And I watch it for pleasure, to de-stress, and… its one of the few places in media where u see women with REAL bodies!! With stretch marks, chunky monkies (not obese, just thick women). You get people with big boobs, no boobs, anorexics, obese, I mean everything! And u know what? I like the naughty nurse (not too much the schoolgirl) and secretary/boss, I like the gangbangs and three-somes. I also like it when both parties look like theyre really into it and making out and stuff… so… I’m not sure if Im an anomoly or the norm… bc Id NEVER admit in public that I watch porn, hahah, and even less admit what type of porn I watch. I’m black, so I dont mind the interracial stuff, kinda hard to find quality black porn. One MAJOR thing I dont like about the service I subscribe, the label all the porn by the WOMEN! And I like to watch it for the men. I have my favs, but its so hard to find them, except for Lex, hahah. Just wanted to add my experience to the pool. Bc when I watch the porn, I dont really look to see if a man or woman directed it. and if I see a vid that looks bad, like the women look really stressed, I dont watch it, eh.

Thank you so much for sharing. I really, REALLY appreciate this because it illustrates the points I was trying to make much better than I …

About women and porn – the women in the article are definitely not doing the old “couples” movies and romantic soft core that used to be passed off as women’s porn. I think you give the porn industries too much credit, their are no marketing analysts telling them what kind of porn to make. They see that their copies of interracial porn practically print them money in the American South and you end up with movies with disgusting titles like “Jenna has a Negro Problem.” They see that some other studio has a movie about pirates having sex, and they want one too. That’s all their market analysis is. It’s basically taken a new wave of feminism and men comfortable with different ideas about sex and sexuality to start new trends in pornography. The average consumer however, is still the typical male that the industry has been churning out movies for in the past thirty years. There are some male directors who more feminist inclined porn stars love to work with, but the typical porn audience thinks of their films as boring art films and call the directors things such as “faggot” and “sissy”. But, since generational mores about sexuality keep sliding towards something more inclusive, the feminist porn pioneers today may have lasting effect years later. Violet Blue’s tinynibbles.com is not the be all and end all of information on feminist porn, but it certainly is the best starting place I can think of. Sorry for the anonymity, but it is porn, and even now, unless you’re in the industry, the amount of knowledge one may have about it can be considered embarrassing.

I understand the anonymity and I certainly do not begrudge it. Comments like yours are the reason I have enabled it 🙂 I know Violet …

For women to admit to experiencing pleasure in watching pornography means overcoming stereotypes about female sexuality. There are women who do not want to consume …
