Now, before we all go “HA HA look at the outdated gender role models”, keep in mind this little instructional booklet is from the ‘70’s. That’s right. The time when Second Wave Feminism (the kind that began to question these gender stereotypes) was starting to gain traction. Also, Gen Xers (people born from the mid 60’s to mid 80’s) were brought up amidst such ideas. Not so old, actually. And even though the graphs are mildly amusing, sadly the ideology behind them is alive and well in many places. Just look at the debates over reproductive rights.
