A note about these Storifies
I have started to compile some of these public conversations because so much of what I do and write is ephemeral. Today I attended a funeral and one thought that kept popping up was: if I go today, I would leave nothing behind. I’ve never published a book that people can keep; I have few possessions and even less family that could inherit them; I only write and share “stuff” that people read on a screen. Once the lights go out, that would be it. These Storifies are merely an attempt to archive these ephemeral moments that happen every day. They are not more concrete than a blog itself but, at least, I believe they add to my living archive right here. Seeing how I feel invisible in so many aspects of my life, sharing these thoughts is the most feminist and empowering thing I can do right now.
For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you. Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
