Also, schools need to be updated

on how censorship works. Before the internet, teaching censorship was somewhat simple. The government or media monopolies could silence dissenting opinions, so, the issue was a bit more clear cut.

Enter the internet and a legion of users who claim that if a moderator removes their offensive comments, they are now victims of “censorship”. No, sorry, you are still entitled to opening your little blog and expressing your ideas, no matter how asinine or bigoted, but I am not obliged to give you the space to publish them. It’s like claiming you have an inalienable right to take a dump in someone’s backyard. And yet, so many millions of commenters have troubles understanding this basic principle.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
