Don’t know about Den Haag, but here in AMS, all bakeries I know of only sell cupcakes through order, so I never get to try any. It’s a shame because I’d love a place where I can buy a couple every now and then.
I’ve been researching this one, and they actually have a cupcake bakery that’s open all day. You can just pop in and buy a cupcake. Which is exactly what I’m gonna do one day. The mini cupcakes are a little TOO mini for my birthday wishes.
They don’t have a bakery in Amsterdam yet (though apparently they’re looking for a good location), but they do have some points of sale (check their website for more info), so perhaps you can get them there?
Or you should just stop by The Hague some time, because apparently we have two cupcake bakeries! This is another one. And I remember walking past one (or at least a bakery which sold lots of cupcakes) downtown in August. Apparently The Hague loves cupcakes and just hides it really well.
Yes, indeed, I should definitely drop by The Hague (actually the husband has a customer there so I could get free transportation even).
I just checked the sales points and I see why I never noticed them before: one of such locations is in the P.C Hooftstraat, an area I rarely go to (and quite honestly, try to avoid as much as possible). But, BUT, I am going to check it out because I REALLY would love a place where I can buy cupcakes just to go. Muffins of all qualities and flavors are never a problem (although I am partial to the ones from Dudok in either The Hague or R’dam, for which we don’t have a location in AMS either). As a matter of fact, the only thing I truly miss from when I lived in Rotterdam (briefly, like ten years ago), is Dudok.
