Heh, no, she wasn’t there (obviously), but there were a couple of Foreign Office folks. Actually, I had never seen such a high concentration of cars with Diplomatic license plates. You know, the embassy is in Wassenaar, in the area with the villas and houses with huge gardens, a very residential area. Well, people who live around were probably less than pleased because there wasn’t a parking spot in blocks and blocks.

And to complete my South American patriot duties, we went for drinks and bites to the Brazilian restaurant afterwards. So all in all, it was a successful evening.
