Holly hell! I don’t read Jezebel much (I scan headlines sporadically) and I intentionally skip his posts there. However, as per the link above, I had to check out the post mentioned in the comment. And this is the “gem” that Professor Feminism regales us with:

After nearly twenty years of teaching gender studies at a community college, I’ve got a little saying that elicits knowing smiles whenever I share it around campus: “sisterhood is easier in winter.” I’m referring to the reality that when the weather is cold (or as cold as it gets in Southern California) and my students are in sweaters and jeans, there’s considerably less intra-female hostility in my classrooms than when the weather turns warm.

We certainly cannot stop this individual from identifying as feminist. I mean, not more than we can stop someone like Sarah Palin from doing so. However, I genuinely have to ask: how is a person who obviously has such contempt for women given paid gigs to write at women centered sites? This is almost like a bad joke: HI I AM THE PATRIARCHY, INFILTRATING YOUR POORLY ARTICULATED MOVEMENT.

Additionally, any comment that is critical of his overal ideology at Jezebel either gets greyed out (demoted) or moved to off topic threads. Because obviously the guy needs to be “protected” from critical thinking.
