I write about Europe, from the perspective of someone who lives here and tries to understand that. Someone writes from a different perspective? Great, the world needs that. However, I won’t be called names because I use conventions or denotations as they pertain to my reality. Because there are so many voices covering those other topics that seem to matter to some people, they are free to pursue the ideas that best suit them. However, I will not be called names for naming the reality I live in. I will not be tone policed by someone who has a different experience. And no, I won’t “google” to find how stuff that happens outside my experience is different. I know that, which is why I don’t write about it.
