Success!
For a while I’ve been planning to build a tiered tea party stand similar to this one. Today, on the way to the supermarket I decided to check my local thrift store to see if they had anything I could use. And behold! I found the kind of porcelain I was looking for:
(The stands between layers are silver plated candle holders that cost 1 Euro each!). It looks kinda bonky because I only placed the layers on top of each other to see how the set would match, nothing is yet glued or attached.
Now, I really loved the plate that I picked for the center of the stand:
Turns out I managed to find a set of four matching cups for this plate as well:
And, imagine my shock when I got home and found the set was from a proper English porcelain brand:
Total cost for the stand + 4 matching cups? 10 Euros! And I cannot even stop squeeing from the cuteness.
