(All caps are, needless to say, intentional. And I think I have mentioned before my utter love of guys wearing skirts).

I think it is, by now, public knowledge that I am an avid hiphop listener. However, Kanye is not exactly my kind of music guy. Yet, I am quite dismayed by Jezebel’s coverage of last night’s Twitter spree. It reeks of classism (and a whiff of White shock that OMG this guy is designing *clothes*!). I mean, he is not my favorite media figure but there was another way of reading those tweets. Mostly, a way that was a bit more understanding of someone who might have encountered some racial hurdles before becoming as famous as he is now. And the commentary? Oh, Jezebel is one step away from becoming The Huffington Post these days so I am not even surprised there. I suppose that, no matter what he does, he will always be “the guy who made Taylor Swift cry angelic tears”.
