What did you explain to him? I was all into that stuff when I was a teenager, but come to think of it “lomography” is not a type of photography, it’s just BRANDING. They are just a bunch of shitty cameras marketed to be sold at obnoxious prices.

Basically, I explained what you just said (re the quality), plus that they are based on old Soviet cameras and that they have stores called “Embassies” in some cities (we are not cool enough for those, we just have a reseller) and that they have a “philosophy” (carry it everywhere, do the “hip shot”. etc.).

I believe the hipsters took offense at my statement that it was like a camera that did exactly the same stuff that my hipstamatic app for the iPhone could do. Only more expensive.
