I left Argentina almost a decade and a half ago. I hardly ever speak Spanish anymore (to the point that I have troubles writing some stuff or articulating some concepts). Mostly, my life happens in English and Dutch. Still, I am disturbingly drawn to videos of Argentinian gossip TV shows. These shows are so bad that they make Jerry Springer look like an intellectual pursuit of academic levels. And still, I check the daily video updates without failure.
I also suspect that I do it to prevent homesickness. These videos are an excellent reminder of why I prefer to live far, far away.
