Fun! (all of it, the park and the canals and the link, though the prices they charge for a spot on the boats are absolutely ridiculous, IMHO). I’m gonna try and finally make it to this event in Gouda. I’ve been meaning to go for ages, but I always felt like I wouldn’t be able to deal with the crowds. After attending Grand Illumination last year, I’m sure I’ll be okay.
(this was a ‘quiet’ area. There were crowds EVERYWHERE.)
Ooooh, something else added to my list now! Gouda is really pretty and now I am very curious about this. I will see if I am recovered from the surgery well enough to consider going. As for the Christmas event in the Amsterdam canals, I have adopted “Dutchness” as my culture. I was just planning to watch from the bridge, as you can imagine 😉
