So, this happened last night.
As I was getting ready to leave, my neighborhood kids came frantically knocking because there was a kitten “in urgent need of a home”. Since they know me as “that woman who likes animals” (in reality, they should know me as “that woman incapable of exercising self control or maturity in the presence of a kitten or a puppy”), this one has now become part of the unnatural reserve that is my home. She is seven weeks old and does not yet have a name because it takes me a while to figure that out. So, future sleepless nights, trying to mediate some peace between two adult cats, a dog and a kitten, we shall be acquaintances again.
For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you. Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
