German weekly Spiegel has published leaked photos of the human rights violations perpetrated by a group of American soldiers who are now facing court martial proceedings. I am not putting any of the photos up because they are very difficult to watch and quite possibly NSFW. Here’s how the material is presented by Spiegel:
The group of rogue US soldiers referred to themselves as a “kill team.” Members of the group killed innocent civilians in Afghanistan and then posed for photographs with their victims. The US Army has now apologized for the incident after SPIEGEL published several images from the “kill team” in its new issue on Monday.
