The zombie apocalypse has occurred and the power has gone off in your safehouse

twopaperbags:

You manage to stay connected to the internet via your iPhone tethering and watch as your tumblr dash, which has been filled with live civilian journalism across the globe for the past several days, begins to slow down. Power grids are crashing and your followers are dying.

Your laptop is running out of power. You watch as the seconds tick down on your battery life, and deep in your very soul, you know that the end of this battery means the last time you will ever look at your tumblr. With a heavy heart you begin to type out a final message of empowerment to anyone who may find it.

Tears stream from your face as you remember all the good times you had. The people you’ve met. The things you’ve favorited and reblogged… And one final time, you press the submit button.

Motherfuckers.

Genius. This made my morning. Incidentally, I suspect Facebook would remain untainted, and the ignorant wall statuses will continue popping up, as zombies declare their racism, homophobia, etc, no matter how close to the end we are.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
