This space wouldn’t change at all (well, the URL would probably change, but that wouldn’t affect anyone who follows me through their dash and I would give ample notice to those who read from outside the Tumblr interface).
It’s just that, the more I write in other spaces (either as a permanent fixture/ blogger like at Tiger Beatdown or as a de facto guest/cross post like Persephone, plus the other assorted bits and pieces), the more I feel like consolidating a long reads blog to aggregate all that stuff. Plus, the podcast I’ve been discussing which NEEDS to happen but I don’t have the time for right now…
Also, I haven’t used Twitter since the surgery (which I didn’t post much about the aftermath, but took me months to recover properly from). And the influx of former high school classmates on Facebook sort of drove me off the medium (hush! I suffer from mild social anxiety, so I don’t think I need to explain myself there).
So many words to say “I am all over the place and I need to sort myself out”. Fragmentation doesn’t work very well. And my ego needs to keep track.
(Knowing myself, this redesign idea might be implemented in the first quarter of 2012, though).
