Also known as “shit that makes my blood boil”. Italian official claims link between homosexual adoption and human trafficking :: Catholic News Agency
Rome, Italy, Sep 21, 2010 / 02:58 pm (CNA).- The Secretary of State for Family Policy in Italy, Carlo Giovanardi, stated in an interview this week that he believes there is a connection between adoption by same-sex couples and the increase in the human trafficking of minors.
In the interview with political analyst Klaus Davi, Giovanardi noted that “where the adoption by gay couples is allowed, such as in the U.S. and Brazil,” the countries have exploded with the “buying and selling of children.”
“It is something that at least this government will never accept and I want to denounce it from here.”
You know, people should be forced to shut up sometimes. This is one such case. I felt like screaming it “SHUT UP, JUST SHUT UP BECAUSE YOU ARE AN IGNORANT IDIOT”. I run a blog specifically documenting cases of human trafficking. I read about the subject every day. I scan the news like a zealot to find cases that address the subject. In all these months, I haven’t come across one single news item involving this proverbial “gay couples” adopting trafficked children. If anything, these supposed “gay human traffickers” have to endure 10x the scrutiny and evaluations of a straight counterpart. Moreover, I would contend that in all of Europe (I won’t speak of the US or Canada because I don’t live there), it would be extremely difficult (if not outright impossible) for a gay couple to traffic a child for the purpose of adoption, simply because of the levels of authorities’ involvement in the process.
