VOICES of Conservative Women
Things I learned by looking at the website of VOICES of Conservative Women:
- RANDOM Capitalization.
- Really ugly colors and terrible design (is it too difficult to enlist the help of a designer friend to improve on that ugly ass wordpress template? oh, sorry, I forgot, probably everyone working in a liberal profession would not lend a helping hand for this monstrosity).
- There is no About page. Their mission statement (part of the header) states: Supporting fiscal responsibility, limited government and free market principles. You know, if we took their desire for limited government to its logical conclusion, I guess women would still be fighting for the right to vote and not be sold like cattle. But then again, I used the words “logical conclusion”. Oxymorons are my forte.
- Help them further limit your rights by donating $20.10. What with that random amount?
- Their first press release contained this gem: This informational campaign intends to clarify that liberal, progressive women do NOT speak for women in the State of Minnesota. God forbids a progressive woman who might have society at large’s best interest in mind speaks on behalf of women.
- After reading their site for a while, I found myself in that all too common headspace where I have trouble accepting that stuff like this is not a parody.
For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you. Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
