It seems it was just yesterday that I would come across several articles per day on the chatroulette phenomenon. Half would be about how revolutionary the concept was, the other half moral panic (OMG MEN SHOWING PEEN! WOMEN SHOWING TITS!).
And then, as quickly as it appeared, the hype was gone. Not a word about it anymore. At least most other memes ride the long tail and one gets to hear about them for a long time after they peak. Chatroulette seems to be the first one that died of sudden internet death.
