A Dutch man living in east Belfast has told UTV he’s worried about the effect ongoing racist attacks are having on his Nigerian wife and one-year-old son.

Northern Ireland: Racism victim ‘fears for family’

From the article:

“It’s very bad for my little boy – I can see the fear on his face,” Reuben Erhabor said after the latest incident, in which three tyres were slashed on the family’s car at the weekend.

Over the past year, swastikas have been daubed on the front door and gate of the family’s Heatherbell Street home and dog dirt has regularly been dumped in their garden.

The couple have also been called abusive names and eggs have been hurled at the house.

“We’ve been receiving a lot of racist attacks on our residence and it has been so frustrating,” Mr Erhabor added.
