A thank you

There is a chance I won’t be posting for the rest of the weekend (inessita arrives in a couple of hours and then we’ll spend time doing the kind of goofy stuff we do when we are together). So, as a last post of the year, I wanted to say thank you.

Thank you to all of you who read and follow. Because as someone who “writes stuff on the internet”, this is all I have to account for. All of you are the reason I do this and I mean it without an ounce of snark or irony. That anyone would read this “stuff” I put out to the internet every day is a miracle by itself. And that any of you find value in it is humbling and a revelation to me.

Thank you to the many, many friends who I have made here on Tumblr and on Twitter and all the other social media where I am usually found rambling. Every interaction has made me a better person.

And at the risk of sounding cheeky, I also want to express gratitude for the platforms that allowed someone like me, a frequent sufferer of different social anxieties, to meet so many great people I would have never met otherwise. People I interact with on a daily basis, and some of them with whom I have had the privilege of spending time face to face. Hopefully there will be more of those occasions in 2012.

And a special thanks and so much love for my co-writers at Tiger Beatdown. People who have supported me throughout the year, who have extended their friendship to me, people that nowadays occupy such an important space on my every day life. But more importantly than their role as co-writers, people I care for and who I know for a fact, care for me and my well being.

And since it has been established that I am cheesy, let it be known that I love you all and I wish nothing but good things for everyone this next year. I might fall and fail on the regular, but it won’t be through lack of trying. SO, here’s to a fantastic 2012!

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
