Isn’t Germaine Greer also the same woman who advocated for girls to taste their menstrual blood in order to be more in touch with ourselves? Maybe I’m easily squeamish but a lot of her ideas seem to be extremely out of touch with reality.

Yes, yes she did in The Female Eunuch. Which I don’t know. I suppose it was radical at the time?

I just have a very strong dislike for almost every Anglo Saxon, White, Second Wave feminist (I said *almost everyone*, I am sure I must like someone in that entire movement, though right now I cannot think of any name, but that might also be because I am in the middle of some work and not actively thinking on this topic).

Edited to add: Judith Butler. That is someone who I like, for a good part (not in her older works where she wrote gender essentialist asshatery, which she revised later on). Mostly what I do like about her is her more recent work about Western thought, “the Other”, etc. I suppose she is proof that people can change their minds and evolve and, unlike Greer, they do not need to remain caught in the essentialist and outdated 80s.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
