Jaw Dropping TV: Downton Abbey

I just finished watching Downton Abbey last night. For the TV-Anglophiles amongst us, one tip: YOU MUST WATCH THIS. It contains Maggie Smith in a character that captures her best qualities as an actress. If I didn’t know better, I would say the entire series was written with her in mind and the rest of the plot and characters (in all fairness, all equally excellent) are mere excuses for her to shine.

Apparently, in the US, PBS broadcasted it last month. In any case, it is available for “trial purposes” at the usual places (hint: one such place starts with the word “Pirate” and ends with the word “Bay”).

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
