My word of the year 2011: indignant

It’s only late November but I believe I have already decided that the word that best describes this year is “indignant”. Not only because the Spanish indignados (the indignant ones) were pioneers of the Occupy movement (and they don’t get credited enough by their North American counterparts), but also because indignation pretty much sums up the feelings I’ve experienced reading a lot of news and analysis on the internet.

So, for me, 2011 has been the year of indignation. And somehow, I have no hopes that it will be better in 2012. Though we still have the apocalypses to look forward to.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
