neroon replied to your post: Anger, feminist ethics, action

From what little work I’ve done in these (broad) areas ages ago, I’d say it’s the latter point about the goals of the movement that’s key. Also the assumption that women are, still, kinder, gentler and not in need of an ethical framework.

YES! This resonates very much with my findings (re, the “women are gentler”, etc.), which is what I find so off putting about the whole “ethics of care”. I am going under the assumption that just because I cannot find something it’s not that it doesn’t exist so that’s why I am not writing the field off entirely. However, what is generally available, is very essentialist and just… no.

For the past decade and a half I have been making all my content available for free (and never behind a paywall) as an ongoing practice of ephemeral publishing. This site is no exception. If you wish to help offset my labor costs, you can donate on Paypal or you can subscribe to Patreon where I will not be putting my posts behind a lock but you'd be helping me continue making this work available for everyone. Thank you.  Follow me on Twitter for new post updates.
